Home visitation programs serving pregnant women, infants and toddlers in Venango, Crawford and Forest counties.

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Early Head Start Program (EHS) is to promote healthy prenatal outcomes
for pregnant women, to improve the development of young children, and to promote healthy
family functioning.

Early Head Start provides:

  • Year-round comprehensive child and family development services
  • Weekly, home-based visits
  • Bimonthly Family Interaction Time events
  • Parenting information, health and safety education
  • Referrals to other local resources
  • Services, free of charge, to low-income pregnant women and children birth to three


  • Pregnant woman and/or Child up to age 3 years
  • Family’s total income before taxes within the last 12 months or last calendar year is
    equal to or less than 130% of the current HHS (Health and Human Services) Federal Poverty Guidelines based on family size OR you:
  1. HaHead Start1ve a foster child
  2. Are a family experiencing homelessness
  3. Have a child with a disability
  4. Are receiving Public Assistance or SSI
